COACHING HIRING PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Application 

Send an email of interest with your name, connection to West Fargo Softball, experience, and age division of interest.

2. Register with USA Softball

• Go to registerusasoftball.com and purchase a package which includes a background check, SafeSport course, and at least ACE Level 1 Test
• Complete your SafeSport course and at least ACE Level 1 Test after the background check is complete
• Report your completion along with your date of birth to the West Fargo Softball Board
• Allow two weeks for processing

3. Coach Training

Attend all coach training and information meetings.  

4. Practices

Work with the field schedule director (pillar) to schedule one practice a week for league teams, and two practices a week for travel teams.  Attendance is mandatory for practices.  Communicate any absences or cancellations with your team and the Coach Liaison.  Absences may result in a loss of pay from your salary.

5. Review USA Softball Rules

6. Complete and return your W9 to the Treasurer
