Saturday Pool Play
General Rules
Games are 75 minutes for 10U and 80 minutes for 12U and up, with no new inning allowed after time expiration; a maximum of 7 innings per game, except for 10u, which is limited to 6 innings. Clock will start when pitcher throws 1st warm up pitch.
No huddles are allowed before going into the field.
Batting: Teams can choose to bat all players or use substitutions. This choice cannot be changed during the game. If all players are batting and a player becomes injured, the lineup skips to the next player without penalty (no automatic out). Free substitution is allowed.
Roll Ball for home or away choice/closest to the pitching rubber
Games are allowed to end in a tie, during pool play (1 point vs 2 points for a win)
Inning Run Rule: ▪ 10U & 12U - 6 run max per half inning
14U & 16/18 - No inning run max
Game Run Rules ▪ 15 runs after 3 innings ▪ 12 runs after 4 innings ▪ 8 runs after 5 innings
Updated brackets and scores will be posted to Sports Engine Tourney (Tourney Machine)
Winning Team responsible for notifying tournament headquarters of the final score immediately after the game. Send a text to 701-630-0341 that includes head coach name, division, opponent, and score.
Each team is responsible for supplying game balls.
A courtesy runner may be used for the pitcher and/or catcher to speed up the game. If roster batting or all bench players have entered the game, the courtesy runner must be the last completed at bat.
UMPIRE’S DECISIONS are FINAL. NO protests
Game results will determine the seeding and/or winner of the division with Win/Loss Points (win=2, loss=0, tie=1. In the event of a tie seeding/winner will be based off the following: ▪

Head-to-head
Total Runs given up
Coin flip
Specific Rules for 10U
Games are limited to 6 innings or 75 minutes, whichever comes first.
No huddles are allowed when going out to play defense.
Pitching allowances: 5 warm-up pitches in the first inning, and 1 warm-up pitch after the first inning.
No seeds are allowed on turf fields.
Each inning is limited to 6 runs or 3 outs.
No coach pitching is allowed.
Stealing is allowed.
Drop third strike rule WILL be in effect for all ages
Umpires’ discretion of the rules if questioned
Specific Rules for 12U to 18U
Games are limited to 7 innings or 80 minutes, whichever comes first.
No huddles are allowed when playing defense.
12U will have a 6-run limit both Saturday and Sunday
Pitching allowances: 5 warm-up pitches in the first inning, and 1 warm-up pitch after the first inning.
Stealing is allowed.
Dropped third strike rule WILL be in effect for all ages
